About Me

My name is Kira Licht, and I am a graduate of California State University, Dominguez Hills.  During my time at my university, I worked for the student-run paper, the Bulletin, where I served as the art director and a staff writer. There, I interned at Rio Hondo College's Athletic Department, covering their games and conducting behind-the-scenes interviews with coaches and players.  When I am not writing or interviewing, I tend to fill my days learning new skills and exploring the cities I visit, whether local or international.

My love for journalism began with a simple instinct: curiosity. Asking questions opened the door to a world where stories shape understanding, and that’s where my passion truly took root. As a journalist, I’ve dedicated myself to telling meaningful, community-centered stories that highlight resilience, creativity, and voices that often go unheard. Whether I’m reporting on campus life or exploring issues of representation, I’m driven by the belief that storytelling can spark connection and create space for people to be seen on their own terms.
